Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 13, 2025 · Last Updated: August 19, 2026
Version: arma_privacy_2026_08_19
Armadillo Protection LLC ("ARMA," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of the buyers and users ("you" or "user") of ARMA product(s) (the "Products") through ARMA channels, including our website, the ARMA scanning application, private checkout links, and email purchase flows (collectively, the "Site"). This document (the "Privacy Policy") outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our Site, use our Products, or otherwise engage with us.
Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding information about your personal data or personal information, and regarding how we treat it. This Privacy Policy, along with our Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"), constitute an agreement between you and us while you are accessing and using our Site. The practices described in this Privacy Policy apply to the information, including Personal Data, gathered through our Site, information that you submit to us, and information we may collect from third parties.
By accessing or using any part of the Site, you agree that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by this Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use and disclose your data, and that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by our Terms, which contain an arbitration agreement, liability limitations, and a class action waiver for all claims that are incorporated into this Privacy Policy, and you consent to the Terms. If you do not agree to be so bound, you may not access or use the Site or any of our Products.
The part that matters most: to build your glove we need a scan of your hand. That is sensitive data, and some laws treat hand geometry as biometric information. We treat it that way regardless. We use it to manufacture your product and to improve how our system fits hands — nothing else. We do not sell it, and we never have. See Hand-scan data below.
Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who access or use our Site, including customers, visitors, and business partners. It governs the handling of personal data collected both online and offline, as well as through third-party integrations and platforms. Our Site is limited to users residing in the United States of America, including Puerto Rico. If you reside outside of the United States of America, please do not use the Site.
Information We Collect
We collect personal information through a variety of methods to provide, improve, and support our services and Products. This includes information that you provide directly to us, data that is collected automatically when you interact with our digital platforms, and information obtained from third-party sources.
Information You Provide Directly
When you engage with ARMA, whether by making a purchase, creating an account, contacting customer support, or participating in surveys or promotions, you may voluntarily provide us with personal information. This may include:
- Full name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address, together with the sport and playing position you tell us about. These details are typically collected during checkout or customer service interactions.
- Account credentials, preferences, and profile details. If you create an account, we may collect your username, password, and any preferences or settings you choose to configure.
- Payment information. While we do not store payment card details directly, we collect necessary billing information and rely on secure third-party payment processors to handle transactions.
- Hand-scan data. The images, depth data, and measurements captured by the ARMA application, plus the 3D hand model we derive from them. See Hand-scan data.
- Communications, feedback, and customer support inquiries. Any messages, feedback, or questions you submit to us may be stored to help resolve issues and improve our services.
- Electronic signatures and consent records. When you agree to Terms electronically or sign documents via our platform, we may retain a record of your e-signature and associated consent.
- Waitlist email, if you join our list without ordering.
Purchase and Policy Records
To administer your purchase and comply with our legal obligations, we retain records of the commercial terms that applied to your order. These include the order terms and policy versions you accepted, your consent and acknowledgement records and the date and time of acceptance, your preorder eligibility and cancellation dates, the shipping representation shown to you at purchase, any cancellation requests you make, delay notices we send you and your response to them, and refund records. We keep these so that we can honour the terms you actually bought under, rather than whatever is on our website later.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site or use our Products, certain information is collected automatically through your device or browser. Automatically collected data may include:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers. These technical details help us ensure compatibility and security across different devices and platforms.
- Usage data. We may track how you navigate our website, including pages visited, time spent on each page, clicks, and referring URLs. This information is used for analytics and service improvement.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking tools to remember your preferences, analyze Site traffic, and deliver personalized content. You can manage your cookie settings through your browser or as outlined in Cookies and Tracking Technologies below.
Information from Third Parties
In some cases, we may receive personal information about you from third-party sources. Such sources may include:
- Social media platforms. If you choose to log in or interact with our services via social media, we may receive limited profile information as permitted by your privacy settings on those platforms.
- Marketing and analytics partners. We may work with third-party providers to analyze user behavior, measure campaign effectiveness, and deliver targeted advertising. These partners may share aggregated or anonymized data with us.
- Payment processors and logistics providers. To fulfill orders and process payments, we may receive transaction-related data from our payment and shipping partners, such as confirmation of payment or delivery status.
Hand-scan data, specifically
A scan of your hand is personal to you, and some laws treat hand geometry as biometric information. We treat it that way regardless of whether we are required to.
- Why we collect it. To design and fabricate a glove built to your hand, and to remake it if there is a fit problem.
- Consent. We ask for your explicit consent in the application before a scan is captured. You can decline — you simply cannot receive a custom glove without a scan, and you may cancel your order in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Who sees it. ARMA personnel and the service providers who host our infrastructure and produce your glove, under contract and only for that purpose.
- What we never do. We do not sell your scan data, rent it, trade it, or use it for advertising or identification.
- How long we keep it. For as long as needed to build, warranty, and remake your glove, and then no longer than three years after your last order — sooner if you ask us to delete it.
- Improving fit. We may use de-identified, aggregated measurements to improve our sizing and fabrication system. This form of the data cannot be traced back to you.
- Deletion. Email us and we will delete your scan data. If you ask before your glove is built, we will not be able to build it, and we will refund you in full.
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to operate our business, deliver our Products and services, and enhance your experience with ARMA. The purposes for which we process your personal data include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To process transactions and deliver Products or services. We use your personal information to fulfill orders, process payments, arrange shipping, and provide access to any services you have purchased. This includes confirming your purchase, issuing receipts, and managing cancellations or refunds in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- To administer the terms of your purchase. We use your purchase and policy records to apply the correct terms to your order, calculate and communicate your cancellation deadline, send required notices about shipping timing, and process cancellations and refunds.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries. Your information enables us to respond to your questions, resolve issues, and provide assistance through our customer support channels.
- To improve our website, Products, and services. We analyze usage data and feedback to understand how users interact with our website and services, identify areas for improvement, optimize performance, and develop new features.
- To send transactional communications. We use your contact information to send essential communications related to your transactions. These include order confirmations, cancellation-deadline reminders, shipping and delay notices, and other service-related messages necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations. These are sent whether or not you have opted in to marketing.
- To send promotional communications (subject to your preferences). With your consent or where permitted by law, we may send you marketing emails, newsletters, and promotional offers. You may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each message, without affecting the transactional communications above.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations. We may process your personal information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests. This includes maintaining records for tax, accounting, and audit purposes, and responding to lawful requests from public authorities.
- To recognize contributors in our Founders Archive. This applies only to participants in the ARMA Founders Edition program and to those who participate in ARMA's early-stage development, provide Product feedback, or engage in community initiatives. Recognition is limited to your first name and last initial (e.g., "Jordan M."), unless you provide explicit written consent for full name usage. You may opt out of public recognition by contacting us at legal@armadillogloves.com. Founders Archive participation is not part of, and is not requested at, ordinary ARMA preorder checkout.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share it with trusted third parties under specific circumstances to support our operations, comply with legal obligations, or facilitate business transitions. These circumstances include:
- Service Providers. We may share your personal information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing to securely handle transactions, order fulfillment and manufacturing to produce and deliver Products you have requested, IT and hosting support to maintain and improve our systems and infrastructure, and data analytics to help us understand usage patterns and improve user experience.
- Legal and Regulatory Requirements. We may disclose your information to law enforcement agencies, government authorities, or other third parties when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; when necessary to protect our legal rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others; or when needed to investigate fraud, security issues, or violations of our policies.
- Affiliates and Subsidiaries. Your information may be shared within our corporate family, including affiliated companies and subsidiaries, for internal reporting and business analysis, coordinated customer service and support, and streamlining operations.
- Business Transfers. In the event of a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the relevant third party. We will ensure that any such transfer is subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Information Sharing with Development Partners
As part of ARMA's early-stage development, we may collect and use certain personal information to deliver our services, improve the user experience, and demonstrate the value of our platform to trusted third-party collaborators. These collaborators may include Product development consultants, manufacturing partners, logistics providers, marketing agencies, and other service vendors who support ARMA's operations and growth (collectively, "Development Partners").
If you choose to engage with any of our Development Partners, such as by participating in feedback programs, early access trials, or collaborative initiatives, we may share relevant personal information with them to facilitate your participation and ensure the effectiveness of the program. This may include your name, contact details, usage data, and feedback, as necessary for the specific engagement.
Additionally, certain features within the Site may enable you to interact directly with Development Partners. In such cases, any personal information you provide or exchange through these interactions may be shared with the relevant partner, and their use of your information will be governed by their respective privacy practices. We take appropriate measures to ensure that all Development Partners with whom we share personal data are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it solely for the purposes for which it was provided.

California Residents; Shine the Light Law
Pursuant to Section 1798.83-.84 of the California Civil Code, residents of California have the right to request from a business, with whom the California resident has an established business relationship, what types of personal information, if any, the business shares with third parties for direct marketing purposes by such third party and the identities of the third parties with whom the business has shared such information in the immediately preceding calendar year. We take appropriate steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including the use of standard contractual clauses where required.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information — and specifically not hand-scan data — from children. Orders are placed by adults. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will promptly delete it. If you have reason to suspect that we collected personal information from a minor under the age of thirteen (13), please notify us at legal@armadillogloves.com and we will delete that personal information as quickly as possible.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide notice via email or a prominent notice on our website. In particular, if we make a material change to how we handle hand-scan data, we will email account holders rather than quietly updating this page.
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. As our Site continues to develop, we may add new Products and features to our Site. In the event that these additions affect our Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy will be updated appropriately. If we make any substantial changes, we will prominently post a notice on the main page and other pages to alert you of the change.
